ASIC Litecoin Rigs On The Way! BE AWARE OF PRE-ORDERS!

ASIC Litecoin rigs are making way to the market with GridSeed ASIC Scrypt miners being the first and also available “right now”.  I am actually in the process of testing a GridSeed rig right now and I am pretty impressed so far as how little energy it uses.

With that said, ASIC Litecoin rigs were not supposed to be on the market and that was the reason why miners were switching to mining Litecoins couple months back.  Well, the game has changed quite a bit now and GridSeed rigs are literally pumping up the Litecoin market, the Litecoin hashrate has doubled in the last few weeks if you have noticed.

What does this mean to us all?

Eventually, ASIC miners like GridSeed will definitely take over the larger miners out there since electricity is near zero in comparison with graphic card rigs.  But wait, that’s not all!

There’s a new Scrypt in town called “Scrypt-N”, coins like Vertcoin and Spaincoin are using this new algorithm which uses Factor-N method to weed out future ASIC miners.  This may actually work out quite well for those of you running graphic card rigs.

The competition for ASIC mining will eventually become that of Bitcoins if there’s more efficient ASIC rigs being introduced.  Still, Bitcoin ASICs are 10-100 times more efficient so they won’t have as much effect as Bitcoin ASICs.

It’s an unpredictable future but I foresee profitable future for both graphic-card miners and ASIC scrypt miners.  Where do you want to put your bet “right now”?  If you’ve been checking CoinWarz.com, you probably noticed Vertcoins doing fairly well and I think that’s where the future of graphic miners are headed.  Scrypt-N will definitely keep ASIC scrypt miners at bay.

Also, one word of caution for those of you thinking about putting a pre-order for KnC Miner’s new 100Mh/s Scrypt miner.  It’s definitely too good-to-be-true and be aware because I am STILL waiting for my 300GH/s Bitcoin miner I pre-ordered with $3500 CASH (wire transfer).  By the time I get my new BFL rig, it will be nearly worthless, make like cents per day.  These companies can do a bit better if they can guarantee 100% the new rigs will arrive on time.  Otherwise you are putting your $10K for them to decide what to do with it.  They are more like “scam” if you ask me so there you have it.  Put your money where actual rigs are, not on pre-orders.  Time has everything to do with your Crypto-life, if you don’t get it within the time window, it’s good as a piece of junk.

If companies want to take pre-order, they need to be transparent about the way they do their business and not just sit on customers’ money and make hoards of cash just on interest.  DO NOT PUT YOUR BITCOINS OR WIRE TRANSFER MONEY on pre-orders.   Just not worth it, let the companies take the risk and offer you credit card payments, PayPal, etc…etc…

Otherwise they are taking your money and running away, just like BFL did with my Bitcoin rig that’s STILL not here nor will I get my money back.  They will ship it in couple months when it’s even more worthless piece of junk.

On the side note, GridSeed ASICs are available “right now”, you can order them from various retailers, I used ZoomHash.com to order and they arrived in just 2 days straight from their China base.

Yeah, Butterfly Labs are con artist’s for $3500 you should be getting a 600gh/s card that’s now $2100 and your 300gh/s card is only $1600 because originally the 600 was supposed to be 2.5th/s but they missed that mark by about 2 th/s and instead of offering more cards or partial refunds they said pre orders pay higher prices cause they get theirs first.. how bogus is that there are people who paid $6000 for a 2.5th/s card but will only receive a 600gh/s card that they now paid 3x more than if they had waited. Plus obviously they aren’t getting their card they paid way to much for early enough to make a difference since you paid 3x the price and have yet to receive your card. So yeah BFL=Con Artist’s
By the way the knc scrypt is now advertised as 250mh/s minimum… I agree, way too good to be true they probably just want as many people to send them $10,000 for a pre order as they can get so they can start actually developing it, that would not surprise me since that’s what Butterfly Labs has been doing ever since their first FPGA they want to assume ZERO risk, they won’t make a product until they have sold a thousand of them then it’s 6 months for development and 3 months of BREAKING NEWS MINERS ARE IN THE FINAL STAGE, then 2 more months waiting for the big companies to get their miners first like how BFL filled an order for $1000000 in 600gh/s cards yup that’s 1 million dollars in bitcoins paid to BFL from some future cloud mining company that assured them to get their cards first even though they just placed the order recently.
In summation LoL I totally agree with you BFL are crooks and knc 250mh/s scrypt asic that supposedly runs off 1 standard 1200 watt psu is too good to be true. That one machine would allow someone to double the entire pool hashrate at wemineftc.com LoL its a cool thought knc but let’s see some test results on youtube I won’t believe it till I see it.
    Thanks For The Neat Article

I have pre-ordered a Titan from KNC, I am pretty confident that they will deliver on time, but even if they dont, they always seem to make their customers happy.

With regard to the delay on their Neptune mining rigs, they have said:

    “Neptune progress update.

Our Neptune product is currently in fabrication stage at the TSMC Foundry in Asia. We are actively pushing to get the chips as fast as possible to our assembly factories in Sweden. We have of course taken all steps to make sure that the process is done as fast as possible. We know as well as everyone in this business that time is a critical part of the process. Which we think is why we have come up with a few alternatives to anyone who doesn’t want to wait for their product.

    Hash while you wait.

First it’s important to note that we don’t expect to be late at all everything is on track. It’s just always good to have a backup plan. Second our mega-data center in the north of Sweden is nearing completion so we can give out some more details. All customers of Neptune’s will be able to use completely free of charge our data center to hash for them at 3TH either on our pool or a pool of their choice while they wait for their product to be shipped. The first customers (batch 1) are expected to be hashing in our data center in early June and the last customer will hash in our data center around the last week of June. All the customers will be able to hash in that data center for as long as we are late in shipping your Neptune product, this service will be provided on a best effort basis. We have a 24/7 operations teams in place with multiple redundant internet and power connections and we will aim to have as close to 0 down time as possible.”

So even if they are not able to deliver on time, they still make sure their buyers make money, I like that 🙂

KNC scam me out of $6000 for the Neptune miner that I order, never deliver. Cointerra is also a scam lost $6000 on that 2.0 TH machine. Had to dump it on eBay cause it just too loud, wife can’t sleep.
