Do Not Use Two Factor Authenticatoin with Bittrex!

My friend recently lost over 2.7 BTC on Bittrex.com due to what we think is a vulnerability of TFA (Two Factor Authentication) system on Bittrex or possibly an insider job.

Here’s the story:

Hacker takes a total of 2.7 BTC, 1999 Supercoins, and 45416 Vootcoins out using TFA near midnight July 2nd.

Now, when you have TFA enabled on Bittrex, it does not send you an e-mail confirmation unlike when you have it disabled.  If someone withdraw money, that’s it, it’s gone!

For those of you wondering what coins to mine/invest this week, here’s my picks:

Most Profitable X11/X13 Coin to Mine Right Now?

For those of you with graphic card rigs, do you know which coin is the most profitable?

I personally no longer use CoinWarz.com because their updates are slow and they don’t have the latest coins.  You can instead use WhatMine.com, which is much better for graphic card rigs.

Currently, X13coin is the most profitable, so I would definitely switch over, check it out on WhatMine.com.

I will try to have better/quicker updates for all of you since things so go quickly in the crytocurrency world, don’t forget to

x11-x13-ubuntu-image-darkcoin-boostcoin-x11coin

For those of you who want to mine X11 or X13-based altcoins like Darkcoin, X11coin, Boostcoin, Digitcoin, Marucoin, etc…etc…, here’s an updated image with the latest modded sgminer (the one with higher hashrates).  This is built on top of my previous Scrypt/Scrypt-N image, so it’s all straight-forward if you have been using it so far.

With this new image, you will be able to do 3Mh/s with X11 and 2.5Mh/s with X13 on R9 280X graphic card.  (And more or less depending on which graphic card you use.  E.g. R9 290X will obviously have higher hashrates.

Hottest Altcoins! (with Tabasco) – Darkcoin, X11coin, Boostcoin, Cinnicoin, Mastiffcoin, Pinkcoin!

hottest-altcoin

Many of you are probably wondering what’s “hot” right now with altcoins in general.

Well,I am in no way a financial expert but I do have spent the last 8 months mining and trading crypto. Here’s some information may be helpful for those who are just starting or have no idea why altcoins prices go up and down.

In my last video, I did recommend to go ALL-IN with Darkcoins. Well, Darkcoins went all the way down to $6 and came back up (today it’s at $15), if you bought up anytime before today and my last video, you probably made some good mone

Optimized Scrypt and Scrypt-N Ubuntu Image for Litecoin, Dogecoin, and Vertcoin!

optimized-scryptn-ubuntu-flash-image-1

I know many of you have asked me for Vertcoin and since you do need some knowledge of Linux and compiling, I thought it would be easier if you can just download my optimized USB Ubuntu image that contains a compiled Vertcoin with optimized settings for R9 280X, doing 700Kh/s for Scrypt and 327Kh/s for Scrypt-N. (Scrypt-N gets around 40-45% of hashrate compared to Scrypt)

I’ve also included my original Litecoin cgminer, so you can easily switch between the two.

If you are not familiar with Ubuntu, I highly recommend watching the video tutorial above along with the

Latest Optimized CGMiner Configuration for Gridseed Blades!

optimized-cgminer-gridseed-blade Well, just wanted to do a short update on optimizing the Gridseed Blades a bit more.

I found that you can actually run these Gridseed Blades at 850Mhz just fine, there’s some more hardware errors but hashing is a bit faster and getting around 2.879Mh/s per blade.

Here’s my cgminer.conf file:

How to Make Gridseed Blade Mining Rig! [Pre-Built CGMiner]

howto-make-gridseed-blade-mining-rig-1 For this month’s Rig of the Month, check out the latest ASIC Scrypt miner, Gridseed Blade Mining Rig!

Based on 80 Gridseed chips, Gridseed Blades are ASIC Scrypt miners capable of 5.6Mh/s at only 100 watts of power.  These currently (as of April 30th 2014) cost around $1500-1600 with ROI of around 6 months at $15/day. (You can use CoinWarz.com to see profit at the moment.)

In other words, these are the best rigs to use to mine Scrypt coins such as Litecoins and Dogecoins “right now”.  My graphic card rigs a

How to Make Stackable Tower Gridseed Rig with Raspberry Pi! [Pre-built CGminer]

howto-make-stackable-tower-gridseed-rig-1

For those of you who are thinking about making your own Gridseed rig for Scrypt mining (for Litecoin, Dogecoin, etc…etc…), you may want to make them into stackable “towers”.

Initially, I’ve built my Gridseed rig using a standard motherboard and Ubuntu linux with a custom frame but I realize this is very time-consuming and tedious.  Besides that, when you have multiple Gridseeds running at the same time, the fans on them get pretty loud.  It was loud enough where the bass

ASIC Litecoin Rigs On The Way! BE AWARE OF PRE-ORDERS!

ASIC Litecoin rigs are making way to the market with GridSeed ASIC Scrypt miners being the first and also available “right now”.  I am actually in the process of testing a GridSeed rig right now and I am pretty impressed so far as how little energy it uses.

With that said, ASIC Litecoin rigs were not supposed to be on the market and that was the reason why miners were switching to mining Litecoins couple months back.  Well, the game has changed quite a bit now and GridSeed rigs are literally pumpi

Open Air Frame for Mining Rigs [Now on Sale!]

openairframe-1

I know many of you guys are building mining rigs and probably looking for a good rig frame.

Well, since my last post on DIY wooden frame, I’ve decided to start selling them, so you can focus on making rigs instead of spending a whole day making the frame. I know the first time I made one, it took me a whole day designing, cutting wood, and putting the screws together.

Some of you may not have power tools nearby or perhaps you don’t want

How to Make DIY Wooden Frame for Litecoin/Dogecoin Rig!

howto-make-litecoin-rig-frame-out-of-wood-4 Well, it’s been a very long time since my last post but I am back, better than ever!

I took a 3-week trip to South Korea in January to see my parents and during that time I couldn’t wait to build rigs again.  But during that 3-week off, I did a whole lot of research on how to make even more efficient litecoin rigs than using milk crates.

First, I considered using square aluminum tubing, which some of the miners are using but the cost of using aluminum was a bit too much (near $50 range) and also aluminum conducts electricity, not really the best choice.

How to Build Crate Litecoin Rig with 5 or 6 Graphic Cards!

howto-make-crate-litecoin-rig-43 To maximize your Litecoin rig and also to get the most out of your dollar (bang for your dollar), you will want to build your Litecoin rig out of something like a milk crate and put as many graphic cards on it.

The maximum number of graphic cards you can put on a motherboard currently is around 6 so you don’t have to build 2 machines when you can do it with one.

In this step-by-step tutorial, I will show you how to make such a crate-based Litecoin rig out of a milk crate with 5 graphic cards.  (You can also put 6 graphic cards, depending on what graphic cards you use.)

How to Build a 2.6Mh/s Litecoin Mining Rig! [Gaming PC Edition]

howto-build-litecoin-rig-8

For those of you who want to build a Litecoin Mining Rig and also double its usage as a gaming PC, here’s a step-by-step tutorial that anyone can follow to build their own Litecoin mining rig.  Of course, this tutorial is for total noobs/beginners who have never built a PC before.

Now, let me tell you up-front, using a PC Case isn’t the best way to cool your graphic cards, but I personally wanted to build a Litecoin mining rig that was enclosed in a case first.  There can be many reasons for this such as aesthetics (you probably don’t want to have exposed
